Students at UET Pathfinder Schools recently had the exciting opportunity to explore the world of barbering during a special introductory session led by a professional barbering tutor.
The hands-on experience gave pupils an insight into the skills, techniques and career opportunities available within the barbering industry. Students were able to meet the tutor, ask questions about the profession and see demonstrations of the tools and techniques used by barbers every day.
The session proved hugely popular, with pupils showing great enthusiasm as they learned more about the creative and practical aspects of the trade. For many, it was their first introduction to barbering as a potential career pathway.
Following the success of the taster event, Pathfinder Schools will now be offering barbering as an optional course, giving interested students the opportunity to develop new skills, gain industry knowledge and explore future employment opportunities within the sector.
A member of staff said:
“It was fantastic to see our students so engaged and eager to learn. The barbering taster session gave them a valuable insight into a growing industry and helped them understand the range of career opportunities available. We’re delighted to be able to offer barbering as an option moving forward.”
The new course forms part of UET Pathfinder Schools’ commitment to providing a broad and engaging curriculum that equips students with practical skills and experiences, helping them discover their interests and prepare for their futures.
We look forward to seeing our students develop their talents and make the most of this exciting new opportunity.
