A talented student from The Pinetree School has been recognised on the national stage after being named a finalist in a prestigious young writers’ competition.
Katelyn was selected as one of just five finalists in the 15 Years and Under Category of the Awards for Young Writers on Horseracing, an achievement that highlights her creative talent and passion for writing.
The competition attracts entries from young people across the country and challenges participants to demonstrate their writing skills through engaging and imaginative pieces inspired by the world of horseracing. Reaching the final shortlist is a significant accomplishment, reflecting the high quality of Katelyn’s work and her ability to stand out amongst strong competition.
Although she did not take home the overall award, being chosen as a finalist is an outstanding success and one that the whole school community is proud to celebrate.
