Grove Infants School was full of festive spirit this week as parents and carers attended a series of Christmas celebrations. The week began with the Christmas Café, where the hall was alive with families spending time together, enjoying seasonal treats and taking part in creative activities.
A highlight of the afternoon was the Elfie Selfies activity. Children created personalised elf decorations by pairing their own photo with a festive template, supported by their adults. Each elf turned out differently, and it was lovely to see families chatting, cutting and sticking while making something special together. One parent shared how much they valued the chance to slow down and feel part of the school community during such a busy time of year.
Alongside the crafts, visitors enjoyed cakes, hot chocolate and festive music, which all helped to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A big thank you goes to the staff and volunteers who organised the event and ensured everything ran smoothly.
Later in the week, the Christmas Fayre brought even more festive fun. Families took part in classic favourites such as Guess How Many Sweets in the Jar, enjoyed the cake stall and explored a range of seasonal activities and treats.
Thank you to everyone who attended. The support and enthusiasm of families helped make the celebrations a real success. UET looks forward to seeing more events like this in the new year.
