Unity Education Trust is proud to celebrate the recognition of our Careers Lead, Charlene, who was awarded a Highly Commended certificate at the Apprenticeships Norfolk Awards 2026.
Charlene was nominated for the prestigious Apprenticeship Advocate Award, which recognises individuals who go above and beyond to champion apprenticeships and create meaningful pathways for young people.
Although she did not take home the overall trophy on the evening, being named Highly Commended is a significant achievement and reflects the strength and impact of careers education across the Trust.
The awards ceremony was a proud and emotional moment. Hearing the positive feedback shared about both the Trust and Charlene’s work as CIAG Lead highlighted just how valued this work is. From building employer partnerships to supporting students in understanding their post 16 and post 18 options, Charlene has played a key role in ensuring apprenticeships are seen as a high quality and aspirational pathway.
Charlene said the recognition meant a great deal, adding that to hear such kind words about the work being delivered for students was “truly amazing” and a reminder of the importance of strong careers education.
At Unity Education Trust, we are committed to providing students with the knowledge, skills and guidance they need to make informed decisions about their futures. Charlene’s Highly Commended recognition is a reflection of that collective commitment across our schools.
We would like to congratulate Charlene on this well deserved achievement and thank her for her continued dedication to improving opportunities for our young people.
